I have a method that works, took a video of myself demonstrating my method for another guy, don't really know how useful it is though. If you want it DM me your email and I'll send it. I will tell you two things: Take the time to find yourself a good 16 point compass rose and print it, you will be much more accurate, and the app is much harder than the actual test.
Hey Dav246,

Mind if you can send that video to me as well. Check Pms

Know your basic electrical formulas, (voltage, power, Ohms Law, etc) paying special attention to how to add up resistance in a given circuit. If you haven't already, get the ASTB prep app by Alex Hastings (TwoScoops on here, he is pretty active in the forum). Thats like, the only place I could find any kind of circuit or electrical problems to practice, it is a strangely absent topic in most of the other study guides and books I came across. I did have a couple of electrical problems show up on all three of my attempts, but they were not particularly difficult.
Man I’ve heard so much good from this app but i can’t justify the $20 price tag right now. Thanks for the reply though, this’ll give me some direction for electrical study ideas. Thanks!

Kieno Thomas has a video that explains all the electrical stuff really well on YouTube!

Hey there, everyone. I have the Trivium ASTB study guide 2018-2019 edition as well as the ASTB app from Alex Hastings on my phone, but I was just wondering if there is a good resource out there to supplement the ANIT portion of the exam. Or will those two sources be sufficient for the ANIT portion of the exam?

These flashcards are pretty comprehensive.

Also look at kyles drive, this thread etc for questions people have gotten in the past. I saw quite a few overall. One or two in math, mechanical and a few more in ANIT.

I’m at the gym right now. If you search for it you should be able to find it. If you have more questions just PM me I’d love to help.

Have a sibling getting ready to take the OAR/ASTB. It’s been a few years since I’ve taken it so I’m a little outdated on the content. If anyone has any links, book recommendations, or any updated gouge for him to get started I’d appreciate it.

Warriors,

I made some modifications to the ASTB Prep App, a compass row with buttons, like that found on the actual Terrain Identification Test, is now available on the app; when using an iPad only. If anybody has feedback regarding the app or anything else, please reach out.

My android people, don’t worry, I’m going to start working on that side of the house this week.

Happy studying

I tried to take the ASTB for the first time two days ago. I finished everything except the PBM section because the computer crashed. The administrator said he didn’t know if I would have to retake the whole thing again or if I could just take the PBM. Has this happened to anyone else?
