I scored a 50 5/5/5. I'm scheduled to take it again in 2 months. Is it worth it to try again and attempt to qualify for immediate selection for NFO/Pilot? I know I can score higher because I completely messed up on both terrain parts and got the score you see above. All honest opinions, suggestions and comments are welcomed.
Are you AD? If so review the URL ISPP program authorization to see if you meet those requirements, if you do no need to retake.

I'm in the same boat, except my OAR was a 45. I've decided to retake it after 30 days. While it's not guaranteed, there is a pretty good chance your scores will go up. I'm hoping to Immediate select as I meet all other requirements.

Are you only doing the OAR? And what did you struggle on?

For the stick and throttle, in the jantzen sim, the throttle target moves faster than the max speed you can move the throttle tracker. Is it the same for the exam? Where there are times where youre just playing catch up if youre a little late and can't catch it until it changes directions or slows down?

I feel like there will be times where it speeds up, but it will kind eventually slow down. Anticipation is your best friend

Hello, I am currently studying for the ASTB using the ASTB Prep app from the app store, as well as Gomez's ASTB Prep Google drive.

I finished the math section in the app and was looking over the math materials in Gomez's drive and found myself a bit overwhelmed with how much information was within it. For those of you who have taken the ASTB and used the Gomez drive or ASTB app, would it be helpful to go over everything within the drive and study up on it all, or are there specific areas I shouldn't spend too much time on? Also, in your opinion, is the Gomez drive and ASTB Prep app enough to do well? Or should I plan to pull from more study material such as ASTB study guides on amazon etc.

I wanted to take the ASTB by the end of July, but still have to start learning and study the mechanical, ANIT, and PBM sections as I've never taken a physics class or know much about aviation and nautical information. I do play video games so I'm not too worried about going over the PBM section and learning information within it, but am a little worried learning all the mechanical and ANIT information is going to take longer than up until the end of July for me to really grasp it all and be confident in my ability to do well.

I recently graduated with a bachelors in psychology and decided I wanted to join the Navy as a pilot or NFO after not being too interested in psych careers. I am new to this site so am still exploring a lot of information posted, but wanted to see if any of you could share some insight or advice into these questions I have as of now.
Another thing that might help if you have the money (it isn't expensive). Is getting the ASTB math books for dummies off of amazon or anywhere else. Before i retook my ASTB i did a chapter of that book every night until it was finished. It helped a ton, goes in depth in every math on the ASTB.

I got a 45 5/5/5. Looking back, I'm fairly certain my math section is what killed my OAR score. I had some technical issues with the joystick and throttle disconnecting during the Dichotic listening portion. I think I messed the EP portion up as well.

Will I have to board? I'm not sure what that process consists of after submission/acceptance. I know I can do better on the ASTB portion lol It's so difficult to accept the score as is, but I hear you.
No, your application is reviewed to ensure it meets the requirements of the PA, if it does you are processed for OCS.

The only big difference other than what @exNavyOffRec said is that you need endorsement from the first flag officer in your chain of command. Get that, and meet the PA requirements, and you are on your way to OCS.
