1001 questions (and answers) concerning BDCP

During the last time we had BDCP I had a BDCP person that DOR'd at OCS and that person was sent to boot camp as enlisted, the NRD next to me had a BDCP person that was also sent to boot camp.

I saw BDCP who failed flight school who were allowed to just go home.
Ah interesting. Is it considered a DOR if you don’t want to switch designators after being found NPQ?

Hi all, for boards, which are we submitting for? I'm looking at the NRC Board schedule and some of them say PILOT/NFO/ ISPP and BDCP PROBOARD, or SWO/ SWO ISPP/ SWO BDCP PROBOARD. I'm applying for CW, so would I be looking at IWC Boards or one of the forementioned BDCP boards?

Check out the BDCP program authorization. It tells you.

I am in bdcp as a sna and I suspect I may have keratoconus. Should I try to get an official diagnosis ? Or should I wait for OCS? Will this result in me getting kicked out of the program? I know this is a lot but, I can’t find information anywhere.

Haven’t you been posting and asking the same question multiple times already?

Similar but not exact… and I only got input from 2 people ideally I’d like input from someone who has been in a similar situation with bdcp and finding out before OCS etc.

If there were others who actually been in your shoes or close to it, I'm sure they would have replied to one of your posts already.

I just enlisted through BDCP Friday. I know I'm going to be waiting a little bit before I start to get paid, but should I expect to be back paid from the date I was selected or the date I enlisted? My recruiter said it was from my selection date, but that he wasn't sure. There's about a two week difference in those dates for me.

For me it was back paid to the date I enlisted and took the oath. It took about two pay cycles for it to hit my account but I’ve heard it could take longer sometimes.

Yeah he told me 2 or 3 cycles. I wouldn't be surprised if it took 3 since I enlisted on the payday. Thank you for the incredibly fast response!

It’s the date you enlisted. Why do you think you would be getting paid prior to if you weren’t considered officially selected / active Navy?
