11JUL17 Pilot/NFO board

I thought these things wouldn't matter as long as you have a waiver? If they weren't, why give you one in the first place? Is it not a black/white situation and could still be used against you? Keep trying and don't give up! January 2018 is your next opportunity!

A waiver is just to get through to the board to be even considered, technically if you need a waiver you would ineligible without it. At least for my misdemeanors.

Thinking there's a pretty good chance it's due to paraphernalia and alcohol waivers from when I was a Juvenile.

Congratulations to all, hopefully join you guys one day!

I haven't seen a person with paraphernalia charges get in before, I am sure it was the combo of that and the DUI that did you in.

Just minor in consumption, no DUI. Interesting, so it is seen as more damning than having an actual possession charge? Only had the para and it was marijuana related, no possession.

Prorec Y Pilot! Thanks for all your help!

This seems like a similar situation that worked out... Gah, all this confusion over drug waivers really has me hoping simply admitting to soft drug use is completely different than police interaction over it.

Mine was 5 1/2 years ago, old as well, 23 years old now.

Did you need a waiver? What for? (If you don't mind me asking)

3x Marijuana Use
1x Mushrooms Use
From 3 years ago.

When I asked my recruiter what my chances were, he said extremely good. Then kind of paused and added "well... if you don't get it, it's cause of the drug waiver..." This waiting game has not been fun.
