True. I'm just kickin it back at my parents house back to doing chores, running, and studying appendix B.Easier to move a 22 year old kid than an active duty person with a family, etc.

How long did it take you to get your FINSEL after submitting final transcripts? Good luck at OCS!Got the word earlier today that I'll be heading to OCS for the June 25th class!
About 2.5 weeks. How long did it take you to get your FINSEL after submitting final transcripts? Good luck at OCS!
From my understanding, your CO does have some say in when you leave because of manning. My command must have gotten that email because they asked me when I was available to leave for OCS and then I received my FINSEL letter a week or so later. So, it sounds like your command needs to provide some kind of input one way or another....Have any fleet candidates had issues getting an OCS date? I received an email from NRC asking me to inquire about an email sent from them to my command requesting a command release date; however, my command triad is under the impression that they do not have any say in this (even after receiving an email sent directly to them). The CCC doesn't have an idea either. If anyone has a contact that may be able to assist with this and clear things up it would be much appreciated.
Your command can hold you up to 6 months I believe. Also, OCS is essentially TAD orders until you graduate so they have a say in when you can attend.Have any fleet candidates had issues getting an OCS date? The endorsement is a really good point I completely overlooked that part. Hard to say no, when you already said yes, haha.My understanding is it also depends what FY you are selected for, smaller designators have less give than larger designators, of course I can just imagine a CO trying to explain to pers why they can't let someone go when they endorsed the application and fully knew that person could be a loss, it would kind of make the CO look like an idiot.
Oddly enough, in the fleet application checklist and instructions for filling out the fleet application it specifically says that the CO must include an approved command release date on the endorsement page. I specifically made sure this was done and still have this issue. My understanding is it also depends what FY you are selected for, smaller designators have less give than larger designators, of course I can just imagine a CO trying to explain to pers why they can't let someone go when they endorsed the application and fully knew that person could be a loss, it would kind of make the CO look like an idiot.

That would be pretty cool! Now that I think about it I don't think my CO put a date... Though endorsing the package in the first place says he is willing to let me go. Processors didn't say anything about it so hopefully it is just assumed "immediately"...In my package for endorsement it was stated immediately available. I suppose if they ask again anyways, perhaps if I'm selected of July board my CO can say a date that would let me be home for my kids birth!
