I'm driving up from DC on the 11th.

I'm trying to squeeze in some studying, and I've been working out, but I guess now is the time to start pushing myself on both counts.

I will get there on the 10th. I had to reserve a room at a local hotel. I could not get into the Navy Lodge, NGIS, or Chalet, even though I have orders.

I take it that by now all of the seats for this class should be about full. I have been doing a bunch of working out, but not as much studying as I should be doing.

How many people here are going to drive to Newport?

I'm just like you, they have been so confused by my status.

I'm landing on the 9th and chilling at the Chalet until Sunday. Its gonna be a six hour time zone change for me so I'll need a few days to acclimate and get my head in the game.

Just found out I'll be sneaking into this class from the Febuary SWO board. I currently live in Newport and work as a trainer at the gym on base so I would be happy to answer questions people have regarding the local area.

Nice! Welcome. I guess since you're a trainer, you probably don't have to worry about getting in shape over a short amount of time, but I hope you've been studying the inspection knowledge.

There's a group of us on facebook if you're on social media. People were discussing places to eat a Saturday night, pre-OCS last meal, and I'm sure your native knowledge on good places to eat would be helpful. I don't think a decision had been made.
