Submitting for next board. Looking for any advice on where to tweak my package if any. I'm really worried that my age is working against me as well as my time in rate ( I read that I shall not have over 8 years in service). Should I get more LOR's ? I am also not sure if they prefer all active Navy LOR's and Appraisals or if I can use retired officers and Marines as well. Last question.. when I submit my Age Waiver.. is that something that I will receive an answer back about it being approved or not?

Active Duty: AC1 (AW/SW)
Service: 8 years
OAR: 53 (2nd)
GPA: 3.44
BA: Business Administration
Age: 34
Sex: Male
Appraisals: O5 (10's) Pilot, O4 (10's) Pilot, ASuppo O3 (10's)
CO Endorsement: All trait ratings Outstanding
LOR: O-5 OIC from deployment and O-4 Pilot
Evals: MP, EP, and EP
Awards: NAM (4th), Marine Meritorious Letter, MOVSM (Volunteer Service Medal)
MISC: ACFL, LPO at Sea and Branch Chief with lots of leadership experience.

Age is commissioned by, so if you are turning 35 in the next 6 months you will probably need to look into a waiver for that in addition to a waiver for TIS.

A waiver will allow you to go to board that is all it does not mean you are actually waivered as the board can still turn you down based on the items you received a "waiver" for.

Just be aware there have been a few sailors in the past couple boards that had similar stats, really good GPA but needed a waiver for TIS and/or age and they were given waivers to go to board but turned down at the board.

Hey man, your stats (GPA, OAR, Degree type) is good compared to ppl I know that got picked up in previous boards. I’m an LS active duty and for my appraisals I was told by 2 of my suppos who were priors to at minimum have 1 O-5 Suppo and the rest higher ranks if possible. To answer your other question, I was told they have to be currently serving in reserves or active .

I'm looking at a potentially outdated board schedule that has another Supply board on 25 OCT. Is there any way that is correct? My recruiter has no answer to any of my questions.

Are you submitting for Supply only? If yes, Pilot appraisals won’t do you much good. Supply corps community is very small, you need appraisals from Suppos. For LORs, it’s best to get them from people that have directly supervised you, OIC one is good. Since you are not a supply rate, it would be helpful to do some Supply related DAU courses.
Yes to your question about waivers, you will get a response.
Make sure your personal statements are strong. I’ll take a look at your package if you’d like more specific feedback

Wow I really appreciate all of the great responses. Thank you! Yes, I plan to only apply for supply. I do have my eye on maybe submitting for aviation as well but wasn’t sure if it looked less sincere to list/apply for more than one. I will also look into those DAU classes.

Out of all our civilian friends applying, it seemed from the last board many were getting "unofficial results" from their recruiters that had made it. If at all possible could you (civilian applicants) use your resources to see if they can get their hands on a PROREC list? There will usually be a list floating around that makes it way onto airwarriors before it gets to Commanding Officers.

Sincerely,
Active Duty Applicants

Last Board convened on 01 Jun and the list was available around 28 Jun. So, I think its too early right now for this board.

I noticed that as well for that board. He’s saying when the time does come, can one of the civilian applicants lets us know on here. Previous boards civilians got their notifications close to a week earlier than Active duty.

I was just selected out of the most recent SWO board and yes we had civilians knowing they made it roughly 7 days before the PROREC list was upload to Air Warriors. My command was notified I was selected about 4 days after I had already found out I made it. From the time my board started and ended it was 25 days, I was notified on here that I made it on the 28th day, and lastly my command notified me on the 32nd day. No timeline is the same but nonetheless all info is good info. Goodluck!

Hi Everyone,
Has anyone been notified if they got prorec Y for the Supply board? I have been away from work and could not check my emails or log into BOL to check for the results. Any information is more than welcome! Best of luck to all the applicants!

Sincerely,

LS1

I asked my recruiter on Thursday and he said that there were no results yet. I hope we get something next week!

Hi LS1,

The last board took 21 days then a couple weeks before results started coming out. BOL will not be updated until after your command is notified…best thing to do is keep checking this thread. Civilians will find out first and you can ask one of them to ask their OR for the list once it’s out
