I think we’re all still waiting for FINSELs for the most part. My recruiter said my OCS date is set in stone but I have yet to receive the official document. Don’t stress, friends. I know that’s easier said than done but we’re in! They selected us! We will go...

My recruiter just reached out to me and asked me to go to the NRD next week to swear in. He didn't give me any information about OCS though. Hopefully this is a sign things are finally picking up.

That might mean you have a FINSEL, and therefore a date. Only saying this because my recruiter told me that I couldn't swear in until I had my FINSEL.

I asked my recruiter if he had a class date for me yet and he told me "probably the next one available." Key word there is available. It seems he's not in the office so he can't check. I'm not sure how far out SWO is filled up at OCS.

Still haven't heard but expecting Dec-Jan probably. Gives us all more time to study and get our affairs in order. Plus winter classes are better I here!

Hey Y'all

Got some bad news. During the normal course of training for OCS I hurt my bad knee (had to get a waiver for this to join initially). Went to my orthopedic and he recommended that I take a year off from pursing the Navy and doing OCS in favor rehabbing my knee. Got a couple of different doctors opinions on this and the all recommend the same course of action. Unfortunately that means I will have to pull out my candidacy and reapply when my knee has returned to 100% functionality. I wish everyone the best of luck and the earliest possible OCS date!

The March board?!

*dies a little inside*

Yeah I'm from the March board too, but I have no idea what's taking my application so long. My recruiter told me 2 Mondays ago that his OPS emailed the National Recruiting Command and is waiting a response. He told me this past Wednesday that there was still no response and that they have been asking about it pretty religiously now. Considering the upcoming class starts this Monday, I should be going in the Oct 29th class according to my preference, but at this point, I wouldn't be surprised if I was moved to November or December...

Lol my recruiter got deployed last week, so now I just talk to my processor if I want information. She e-mailed her lead, and he just replied with, "Stewart is a SWO. SWOs are getting sent to OCS very slowly currently."

Not surprised. Two people I know got orders three days before the class started and they live over seas in Italy and in Guam. Absurd.
