Got my FS letter this morning. I'll be driving from Denver. Time to use those ski passes before I leave.

Don't know what you FS'd for, as you never bothered to do your profile... but, you'd be well advised to SAVE those ski passes for another time. Slots are, as you know, scarce as 'hen's teeth', and were you to have an accident (broken bones, torn ligaments, etc.) on the slopes, you would likely be NPQ for some time... miss your OCS class & probably have to recompete for a slot "A bird in the hand....."! Could bring your dream crashing down. Your call, are you gambler? I am (but I'd never make that bet)!:eek:

Sound advice BZB. I've actually sold off all but 1 ticket and I plan to stick to blues and greens. I completely agree on the risk, but that's life in Colorado; I've gotta hit the slopes once. My profile should also be fixed.
 
Found out this afternoon that I'll be joining you all next month! I'll be driving in from Indianapolis.

I had been warned about this, what kind of info have DIs gleaned from FB pages in the past? So far all the profiles look legit, unless the DIs put up fake vacation photos from 2007 or something like that (I've done a bit of vetting). What else can you really do about it?

This is my attitude about it too. In my opinion, anyone who has applied for a commission should conduct themselves as if their future superiors are watching them, even on Facebook. If you're not a complete clown, what's the harm?
