Pilot.Congrats guys! What are you guys all going for??
Hello to all,
I applied for SWO with the deadline being June 19, 2013. Received news that I was selected by the board on Aug 1, 2013 and was just PQ'd about a week ago. My recruiter said he is just waiting on the final selection letter with the date. So I am assuming that I will be in the November 17 class as well.
I am excited to meet all of you! How have you all been preparing?
I've been studying the gouge pretty hard. And running 2 miles, push ups, and curl ups at least 3 times a week. Basic PT prep. I haven't really been doing much core strengthening, or swimming (no access to a pool, fml). But yeah that's about it.I have been preparing by studying the OCS gouge as if it were a finals exam on steroids (having to know everything verbatim under pressure kinda studying). I have also been doing PT regularly that involves running, swimming, core strengthening etc. I have drastically increased the amount of reps per set at the gym, and have had to go down significantly in the amount of weight I do. Turns out too much muscle is just a hindrance for the Navy's PT standards.
How about you?
