- Socks have to be plain white (apart from dark dress ones), right? I can’t seem to find any at a local Walmart or Target.
- How and when are candidate collateral duties (e.g. Section Leader, Education Officer, Admin Officer, etc.) assigned?
- What’s the typical number of hours for which every candidate gets to sleep?
- When are we issued each essential uniform (Khakis with Windbreakers, Dress Blues, Dress Whites, Summer Whites, corresponding covers)?
- Do people in the upper portion of the school’s Chain of Command delve into a candidate’s personal zone during face-to-face interviews?
- Will there be a lecture session on how to (properly) act as a Candi-O? What are some of the things discussed?
1. Check out amazon. That’s where I got mine from.
2. Depends on the class team, but typically they’re voted on by the class. A lot of people think that just because you’re in the top four you get immunity from events, but you most certainly do not; every single one of the top four in my class got fired, their replacements got fired, and 3 of them rolled. Lots of demerits to everyone.
3. You are provided 7 hours of quiet time every night. How you choose to spend those hours is up to you. There are a couple evolutions where you might get less than that, but nothing too crazy.
4. You will buy all the uniforms you need over the course of a couple trips to the NEX. They’ll cost probably around $3300, but you’ll probably spend a couple extra on random uniform needs as well.
5. not sure what you mean by delve into candidates personal zone during face to face interviews. You’re not having a one on one conversation with the CO unless you’ve really jacked up, if that’s what you’re wondering.
6. You’ll have a very good idea of how to act as a Candio when you get there. Don’t be a jackwagon, be professional, take responsibility, and you’ll be fine. There will be specifics to your billet that will be explained by the outgoing billet holder when you take over the squadron.
