Yeah as soon as I submitted the question I realized the thickness had to do with whether they were winter socks or not. White? geez why can't I find any consistent gouge... A recent grad I spoke with said black.

Don't stress too much over socks. You will be issued black socks for your boots. For your PTU the uniform regs stipulate the socks should not go past mid-calf. Ankle socks, and black athletic socks are not authorized for students at OCS. Other than that, just make sure you have some decent white athletic socks.

From what I remember you will be 21 Aug 2016 Class Officer, correct?

If so, here's a bit of what I'm going through to make it there. I haven't been given an original copy of my orders, only an email of them. Is this going to be a problem? I've been advised by my OR that an email copy of them would be sufficient, but I've been told many other things from them that have turned out not to be true to regulations/rules.

I've had my flight itinerary given to me twice, within the last week, and both times it was for a flight arriving 21 Aug at 2010 to Providence. So, I scheduled my own flight just now, so I could arrive on time by getting there on 20 Aug, and not 12+ hours late.

Check-in begins at 0800hrs. If you can't get there until 0900 that's fine.

I verified your name is on our initial roster. I'm a little concerned with your travel itinerary. You said your recruitment office gave you a flight arriving Sunday night but you purchased your own flight? Why did you not just change your given itinerary? Be advised, that you may not be reimbursed for the flight you purchased.
