Yeah man, absolutely, but I kinda like it. It's sort of like when you were a kid climbing the initial hill on your first roller coaster.

Got the news two weeks ago about my FS, swearing in tomorrow. Really cutting it close.

I think you have the right idea to try and get one last peaceful night of sleep before you report. There is a Navy Lodge on base, but I'd say staying off base is a fine option as well. Nothing crazy fancy at the Navy Lodge, and Newport is tiny; if you stay at a place in Newport or Middletown, your max commute to base will be like 10 minutes.

Yeah I was able to book a room somewhere very close. There are no rooms available at the Navy Lodge for this weekend.

Yeah I'm staying about an hour and a half North of Newport with some family. I will have a car if you guys need to stow anything.
