Please take a moment and update your account profile. If you have an updated account profile with basic information on why you are on Air Warriors it will help other people respond to your posts. How do you update your profile you ask?
From what I understand - you must take 4 years at the academies - no more or no less. Everyone graduates in May - since they don't take mid-semester or mid-year transfer students.
Welcome to everyone who has posted on this thread. Hopefully, we will see more people join in as the date nears closer to 22 JAN 2005. It is helpful to learn where each candidate is coming from, so please update your profiles if you have not already done so.
Does anyone have the contact information of the Class Officer? I used the contact us feature on the official OCS website (http://www.nsgreatlakes.navy.mil/otcp/), a few times over the last month to no avail. Has anyone been able to access the Navy Knowledge Online (https://wwwa.nko.navy.mil/) website yet?
I tried to contact OCS and get a mentor a couple of days ago but I'm not exactly expecting a reply anytime soon (it's been rather windy around there lately so they have been busy).
I had no trouble accessing NKO, but I havent started taking the courses yet. I figured I would start those in the next few months or so. From what I understand, it is relatively easy to get on NKO if you are BDCP or Collegiate since you are considered active duty. I was initially DEP and could not access NKO but I then switched to BDCP/Collegiate and was able to access it almost immediately.
I am putting together a class list for everyone I know of that is in our class. Please PM me your name, address, phone, cell #, email, are you flying or driving, and when you will arrive in Pensacola. I will compile the info and send the list to everyone who is listed on it via email.
I Start OCS on 22,1,05 and want to know if any of you know the GOUGE that must be memorized. I was told that the GOUGE in the handbook has changed a bit and I don't want to start with the wrong stuff.
The handbook is full of errors, spelling mistakes, etc. The online courses cover a lot of the items that are supposed to be memorized - based on the info. on the OCS website.
Has everyone finished the online classes? The memorization will come to you, just read it everyday at least once a day... put it the bathroom, and make it your bathroom reading material. The Chain of command will get easier once you realize the breakdown and how the chain fits together, as far as the Code of Conduct, this is the most difficult for me... I remember the first one and parts of the other, but I still have a few months.
If anyone is looking for extra money and is not far from San Antonio, I will be operating a fireworks super center and I pay a $8.00 per hour cash
