If it makes you feel any better, I had to drive to Meps to just my fingerprints done (3 hours away). Then had to drive another 1.5 hours both ways to get my temp taken at the hotel. Which I had to wait there for 3 hours to get the same form filled out at the hotel, that the guy at the MEPS center already filled out for me. All for a process that took less than 5 minutes. Had to take my ASTB 3.5 hours from my house. Then had to see an optometrist 3 separate times because Meps never filled out my application completely. Alll just part of the fun!!!!

But hey, if this is what you want to do, buckle up. You still have all the anxiety of waiting for the boards to happen. Then the speculation of how many applicants were chosen. Even better, if you even made the board or got rolled. Then, if you get a Pro-rec Y... you have to wait anxiously to get a class date. While watching others in your boards prepping to leave for OCS welllll before you hear anything.
 
Moral of the story, people can change how they view these types of situations. The earlier you get comfortable with the constantly changing experience that is the military, the quicker you can start to enjoy the whole thing. Harboring frustrations makes for a terrible military experience.

I went to MEPS once, completed everything and then the OR asked if I got fingerprints... I was already on my 1.5 hour drive home. Totally forgot, that one was on me. OR scheduled a new date for me to get fingerprints, I show up and they don't have me on the schedule, 3 hours of driving that day for nothing. Third time was the charm. All in all, I drove 9 hours in total dealing with MEPS. Stuff happens, but it doesn't help anything to dwell on frustration. If you're having a hard time and getting overly frustrated, you might have a hard time once you're on Active Duty too.

Got in touch with my OR today because I officially submitted everything on my end to him. I asked him if my application submission was successful and he said “still pending because the processors are verifying the documents.” How long does this take? I just want my application to be submitted sooner than later to avoid rolling into the next boards because I already couldn’t make the January boards ?

Many of us who were rolled are here due to slow processors back in December for Jan. However, there were still many people who submitted into December that made the Jan boards. So I'd say anywhere from 2-10 days depending on the guy on the other side, either way, you're fine as you're submitting early and hopefully the "rolling" nonsense doesn't happen again.

Long story short, if you haven't submitted yet, try to get it in as soon as you can.

Depends on things like DCO's needing commissioning documents, reports, getting people ready to ship to OCS or ODS, and probably a dozen more things.

This is why it is critical for the OR to know his job and get the application put together right, because when it comes down to it if a processor has time to work on a few applications for submissions will they work on the ones for an OR that always submits jacked up kits, or the OR that has everything squared away so they are pretty much just uploading documents.

Just a personal anecdote, but mine took about a week

Exactly! and be careful your OR may submit your packet for PEFO instead of NFO/SNA @GodSpeed1997
 
So medical question... I submitted my package in January because I needed it to go to the IWC board. I recieved the medical determination approval but somewhere I was told it needs to be complted within 90 days from the
