I wish I did not have to stress about the list. I just don't trust that my package would have moved from one board to the next

I know this is probably not much for a consolation, but worst case scenario, next board's in two months.....way better than the 4 months wait between the May and Jan board.....think of it as in....what is two more months compared to 20 yrs flying Ospreys......then be pleasantly surprised when you see your name in the board within the next two days.....

All about perspective! Been trying to get an app in since March 2020...just rolling with the punches and focusing on the end game. That’s what we all need to do in application limbo

Also for active duty folks its a make or break for us sometimes because of our end of service timing and transfer timing. At the end of the day if you submit your package on time for the board it SHOULD make it to that board.

Anyone know how much of this info recruiters actually know? Are they also in the dark? Do they have an idea of what happens to your package once it’s submitted? Or do they pretty much just wait for the list like the rest of us?

Different recruiters have different information, hence all the rumors.

It really depends if they are a real OR or just an enlisted recruiter trying to play OR.

CPO's and Officers are generally going to have better info than an E-6 or below, the Program Managers are all CPO's as well so often CPO's that are OR's that have a good relationship with the PM's get real good info.

Yep, same here brother. I applied for the October board and have been rolled twice. Was told my package was going to be in the August board but my OR said he’d try to have my package seen this board. Hopefully he was able to work his magic ?

that makes sense, explains why my package got rolled even though I submitted before some other people who did get seen, perhaps my NRD hit their max number of kits before whoever else's district.... when I first got rolled, my recruiter said I was going to get seen by the August board since for May it was highly unlikely. However, the whole AD only board rumour (don't hate I'm British) dissipated quite quickly, and soon after she texted me telling me I was going to be seen on next week's board....guess I am mentally prepared for being rolled to August I guess.....gives me more time to get in an even better state for OCS and do a lot better in the PRT than @KaleDaSquid ....is the little things

Haven’t talked to my OR for a month now and he’s been pretty MIA, so I’m just waiting on the list and if I’m not on it, I’m going to reach out. Last time I talked to him he said he was on leave till the 17th of May but still haven’t heard back lol

Also mentally prepared to be in the august board, just don’t know how it would work with adding SNA as my first preference. Don’t know if I need to withdraw my application and then resubmit it or just submit another package for SNA.

Just wait until I am your Candio counting your IST. Push-ups gonna sound like "1,1,1,2,3,3,3,3,3,4......" bahahahahaha (not an ethics violation at all). Honestly, I push so much harder when there is good competition. I have gotten slightly complacent in my training where I have come to the realization that I consistently perform higher than Good Med.... Got Bravo,Charlie and Delta memorized. Just need to show up and embrace the suck at this point.

what part of the country are y’all in? Wonder if your location has anything to do with how fast you’re seen?
