Just did a mock PRT. Disappointed in myself. 25 seconds worse on the run from the last time I did it in January, and only a little better on push-ups/plank. I’ve been sliding out of shape

I’ll chalk it up to a bad day and try again in a couple weeks

Could be wrong, but I think we get plenty of practice at OCS lol

“As a naval officer you will be expected to exceed, not just meet all expectations.” Had a former Officer tell me that and it stuck with me.
In all seriousness though, we will take the PRT multiple times in OCS with the minimum requirement on the final one being Satisfactory Medium. Also, if you score Excellent on that PRT you won’t have to take it for 12 months, rather than the standard every 6 months

Do you have a source for that OCS information? I've heard the initial test on the first Tuesday week 1 is a Sat Medium, and the third and final test in phase three has a Good Low minimum.

Nothing in writing. Recent OCS grads talking. Only thing I’ve seen in writing is that Sat Medium being a the absolute minimum. Now obviously they want to show that the OCS process and structure works, so everyone should be in better shape completing OCS than when they started. Maybe that fits with starting at Sat Medium and being good low for the final test.
The first PRT is not listed as a rollable event. If you do not score high enough on it, you will be in extra PT in the mornings until your scores improve.

What do you mean not listed? Is there a reference for a list of rollable events?

That's interesting, and maybe the videos I've seen are out of date (some were from 2019), but they all mentioned if you don't pass the initial test you will roll into H-class and join the incoming class in three weeks.

there are official documents that list navy rollable and graded events. I will try to pull the YouTube video that had them. She has all of her sources listed. Posted 4 months ago.

my understanding is you need to be reasonably close. If you are borderline, they will let you continue with the class, but will have the extra PT, which doesn’t at all sound fun. Now obviously “borderline” is very much up for interpretation, but the explanations that I have seen, people that get rolled from this event either got injured, or were no where close to being able to complete it.
