read through the thread it’s been talked about extensivelyThis might be answered here earlier but is it true that most SNA slots were filled in the last Oct 28 SNA/SNFO board? I may have misunderstood my recruiter. Would that mean it would be more competitive receiving a slot in subsequent boards like the one coming in April?
Already used once, but still applicable. Not afraid to use it again. This might be answered here earlier but is it true that most SNA slots were filled in the last Oct 28 SNA/SNFO board? Just got forwarded an email from my O Programs Officer that I was deemed "physically" qualified to continue OCS processing. Good to know my stuff actually made it through it time.
Anyone else receive any updates like this? I know the big one is still two months away but it's nice to hear about small progresses.
@GymJer020 @HeartofTexas you ppl active duty?
Interesting considering that a CDR I know at NRC said ISB are not a thing, there are other reasons that a person can be selected or get a pro Y outside of a board, they are rare but they do happen, often it is due to some error that happened at NRCThere was an aviation immediate selection board on 02 OCT 2020. One person selected for SNA, one for SNFO. Only reason for posting this info is people have claimed they don’t do the ISB’s anymore. Note to the civilians on here, just do what you have to do and don’t listen to the rumors. The navy doesn’t even know what they’re going to do a week from now when they’re firing on all cylinders, let alone in a COVID rich environment. Also, I have friends that make up rumors just to see people pull their hair out.
At the end of the day who knows. The pdf I saw was on the NRC Intranet and it said immediate selection board.Interesting considering that a CDR I know at NRC said ISB are not a thing, there are other reasons that a person can be selected or get a pro Y outside of a board, they are rare but they do happen, often it is due to some error that happened at NRC
it is still on the books, just like BDCP was on the books for years after they stopped it, and just like they still list SWO-Intel even though it isn't used, ISB was used for a short time basically everyone over a certain score was put in a pile, and unless there was derogatory info they would get a pro Y, they would use up a decent number of selections that way, but it made planning for future boards difficult. At the end of the day who knows.
