Exact same thing happened to me on the Oct. board. Somebody posted the list, I downloaded, and immediately CTRL-F'd... "0/0 Found". I realized it was a scan of a document so it wasn't searchable, so I scrolled and found my name, but let me tell ya... that 10 second pause REALLY took the wind out of my sails for a minute.
I had mixed feelings about that signed PDF being released before they were “officially released” (even though they were actually official). I found out before my recruiter did and he was pretty shocked I had it and he didn’t.
I was in a Materials Lab when I found out and I immediately told my professor who was a prior Nuke guy and pretty much spent the rest of that 3.5 hour lab staring at that PDF haha.
I feel bad for those who got a PROREC NO or even worse, a PROREC NO/DO NOT RETURN, and had to tell their recruiters (assuming they checked it before them). It was like ripping off the bandaid, but in the end we found out and that’s all that matters.
We all were going crazy the entire time (obviously) but it had been out of our hands for over a month by the time the board had even met. In hindsight, I shouldn’t have been so antsy, but it made going through all of this more bearable.
For the future PROREC Y’s, congratulations. I can’t wait to meet you all in the fleet! For the PROREC N/DNR’s, this is only a temporary hurdle and I know you’ll excel brilliantly in your future endeavors.
