Remember board dates are just placeholders, CNRC can move, add, or cancel boards based on the needs of the USN. Boards that are moved or cancelled could have that happen at any time.

Wanted to add my stats as well!
  • BA English (3.8 GPA)
  • BA Poli Sci (3.2 GPA)
  • 57 OAR
  • Non prior
  • No relevant work experience
  • 2 LORs from current managers
  • 27 years old
  • Couple of medical waivers but my recruiter let me know yesterday I was cleared
I only applied for INTEL, but wondering if I should have submitted for SWO as well to up my chances. Thoughts?

With your stats I would say you’d have a very good chance of being picked up for SWO, but ultimately it depends on what you want to do with your career and what your interests are. The paychecks may be the same but the quality of life is very different. You have loved ones and a family? As a SWO you’d be gone away from home very often. Life on a ship as a SWO is very difficult. If you want to know more about ship life (I did 4.5 years on a destroyer) PM me

Making Recruiting Great Again
Hey Guys, wanted to share my stats too and see what any of you have to say including my chances maybe:

-BS Public Health (3.31)
-Took Calc 1 and Physics 1
-48 OAR( Took twice unfortunately I’m just horrid at tests tbh)
-Non prior
-No relevant work experience
-Fluent in French 100%
-LORs from a retired O4 and 2 professors
-Applied for intel and SWO
-Waivers for color vision and OAR

I had wanted to put swo in there but color waiver didn’t authorize me unfortunately. I know my OAR is like very much my weakness here but this really is my dream so I just have my fingers crossed. My recruiter told me I should be expecting an answer around August because apparently some applications got split or something idk, I just really hope this works out due to only having 1 more OAR attempt. I also work out religiously and am confident I can set relatively high scores for any fitness exams that I may encounter, idk if that’s relevant information before being selected or if that matters after selecting. Thank you to anyone in advance for any responses or discussion!

Color vision waivers aren't ever entertained. Kind of a big deal if you're driving a ship or flying a plane and having difficulty seeing navigation aids and all.

I know that’s why I said swo wasn’t accepted, but intel and CW were cleared so I applied both of those for this board.

I think both of those don’t require color vision.
Maybe yea, I mean I still had to send a waiver for it though but from what I understood it’s like almost always cleared thankfully. I went to a private optometrist who does a lot of vision exams for the military and he pretty much told me that my green and blue are good but my red isn’t and he wrote me a letter as well.

There does seem to be an additional IWC board in August that wasn't on the original schedule. I sent my recruiter a text earlier today to confirm, just waiting to hear back.

Hey y'all, new to the website. Posting as someone who was submitting their INTEL application for the 30JUNE25 board. Just got the call from my recruiter today saying they're only accepting for the positions noted above plus BDCP, and my next opportunity would be in August.

Has anyone received any more info whatsoever regarding August's board and whether there's any hint of them accepting INTEL apps?

Hey, also new and was planning on submitting for MCWO in June. Can’t answer for intel, but apparently they arent selecting MCWOs until October at the earliest.

When I got confirmation that my waiver for Intel was approved and being sent to the board I asked which one it would be sent to, June or August, and I was given the reply that “fleet applicants will be reviewed at the June board.”

Unfortunately things can change at a moments notice, usually not in the applicants favor. When you were notified your waiver was approved what you were told was probably accurate, but things have since changed. If they were going to review fleet as well it would be in the notes. I have seen changes up to the board convene date which I understand can be frustrating to those applying.

Hello everyone,
Since I see many people sharing their stats, I'd like to share mine too:

- BA History (3.89 GPA)
- MA Poli Sci (4.0 GPA)
- Currently working on an IT bachelor's degree as well (prospected graduation is next April)
- 51 OAR
- 122 DLAB
- Speaking several foreign East European and Middle Eastern languages (took DLTP for them)
- Active duty (just passed the 2nd year threshold)
- Already have secret clearance (and my security officer said I should be eligible for TS if selected)
- Some academic experience
- 3 LORs: OIC from my last year's deployment; a professor from Poli Sci @Emory, whom I worked with a while back; my state's coordinator at Braver Angels
- 40 years old
- No waivers

I only applied for INTEL, as this seems to be my fest fitting program (as well as age restrictions on others).
Any thoughts?

The latest board schedule removed Intel from the June board, only a few IWC designators being selected.
