What my recruiter said, is that they tend to put all of the Aviation candidates in the same OCS class. So whether February board or one after, likely will go to OCS start of summer. Do you guys know anything about that? Or when you guy's OCS date would be after getting pro recommended in February?

nope, not true. He is probably telling you that because he is too lazy to send you to New Orleans. The only OCS classes that are heavy in one particular designator are often the June/July classes with all the NUPOC's since they graduate in May/June.

So I was shooting for the February board, but it is sounding like I will not have the medical done in time. I live in Pensacola and so I can get the full flight physical at NAMI on NAS Pensacola instead of going to MEPS in New Orleans. I'm not 100% sure, hopefully rufio or navyoffrec saw this, but it sounds like your recruiter is talking out of his ass. A lot of us that hopefully get selected from the February board (probably 50%) will be at OCS before your board even convenes; that is if current turn around for PROREC to FINSEL hold true for this board. I'm not sure when the next aviation board is after this one (sometime around May probably, rufio put up a schedule a while ago) but anticipate a two to three month wait after that, so realistically late summer. My bet would be that if you see anybody from this board up in Newport they'd be candios/out the door as you're arriving. OCS classes are filled with a mixed bag of communities, and is kind of a lottery as to when you get called in.

It has been 85% in the past, but I don't think that was for the last one. Either way, I wouldn't count on previous board results to correlate to future ones.

To add to this, I would estimate that this forum has a generally positive score bias for a few reasons

A) People that post here and utilized the ASTB thread likely scored higher on average than those who did not.
B) Applicants are less likely to post their bad or mediocre scores, especially when they're applying to the board, which is when their scores should be the best out of all attempts.

Regardless of all that, I've seen it written many times before. 4-5 is bare minimum, 6-7 is good, 8-9 is better.
Based on what I've seen from other board selection results, if you're good on the medical/criminal side, and the rest of your package is solid, 6-7 is just fine.
But as NavyTrad says, you can't count on previous board results to tell exactly what their selection criteria are now.

The 3 OCT board got their PRORECs on 24 OCT and a lot are reporting to the 10 DEC OCS class.
The 11 JUL board got their PRORECs on 19 JUL and a lot reported to the 17 SEP OCS class.

There's actually an excel file on page 3ish that Arizona submitted that has the stats from previous board (back to like 2015) with acceptance rates, scores, when each person was accepted, and the OCS class they went to.

I updated it a while back with a few people but haven't had time to see if it's up to date. I'd recommend just adding yourself and anyone else you see that isn't on it.

Thanks guys! I haven’t been updating it especially since my son was born 6Dec. Have the routine down now , and will be getting back into studying next week when I get back to work. I have absolutely no issues updating it. Everyone seems to have great numbers going into this board.
