Saw a slideshow on the BBC news website about the new 747-8. I looked it up in Google and found a really slick Boeing site with some really nice graphics. It looks like they are incorporating some of the design features of the 787 and adding them to the basic 747 design. What do the airline guys think?

In other news, Airbus has not been doing so well lately. BAE is trying to get out, the Co-Chairman resigns, the A350 design is back on the drawing board for not being as revolutionary as the 787, Singapore Airlines (which had said it would wait for the new A350 design) orders the 787 and the A380 is delayed.

Why take pleasure in the troubles of a aircraft maker? Well, it does involve the French
, but they also have been exceedingly arrogant when they constantly trumpet their 'victories' over Boeing and gloat on them constantly. That, and I read enough at work that just makes me more pissed off :icon_rage . Lets just say that they don't play fair when it comes to the international airliner market.
