Hello, I'm a freshman in my spring semester at a university that has all of these programs. I have a 3.8 GPA , 1350 SAT, and so far and I've regularly been a pretty solid student. My main question is: Which of these programs should I join? I'm interested in getting a pilot slot and I have a pretty open mind with all of these cultures and all kinds of airframes. (Helos, Jets, Heavies.) If you were a freshman in college which of these would you join? I've read plenty of forums and know how the process works for each of them roughly, but I haven't seen another post similar to my situation.

About AFROTC, NROTC, and PLC Air

I can’t comment on AFROTC, but will say the AF compared to the Navy/Marines holds pilot slots closer to chest for USAFA.
NROTC: the scholarship is very compelling; you’ll also spend less total time at OCS.
PLC: far less financial assistance, more total time at OCS (either two six week sessions in the summer or one ten week session), but can guarantee an air contract and sets your pay entry base date to the day you step foot in Quantico, which will result in more pay over the course of your career. Google military pay charts and compare O1 < 2 years to O1 > 2 years to see an example of this, and the beauty is this advantage continues at every rank.

Making Recruiting Great Again
You haven’t seen a post debating which service to pursue based on aviation?
After speaking to all the officer recruiters about this, weighing my options. I learned that rotc would delay my graduation unless I took an accelerated program and it would be difficult to make an impression on the commanders to get a good ranking in the class. Ultimately, plc seems to be the most flexible for me and the financial benefits of having more time in service you mentioned are great. I also learned that I can qualify for tuition assistance after attending OCS. If I were to make it to PLC juniors by my sophomore year summer, I can start receiving some tuition assistance money on top of the money earned at OCS. Once I met with the region OSO and looked into it more I really liked the idea of attending infantry training in TBS even as an air candidate. I do like aviation but I definitely want to experience more than just flying, and I think the Marine Corps can scratch that itch for me with the other billets that pilots can fill. Of course I'll find out whether it's a good suit for me once I'm actually in the program and training amongst them. Thanks for the comment.
Of course I have, but being a freshman in their second semester, I was facing some problems regarding the ROTC programs and my graduation date. Even though I'd be willing to stay an extra semester or even year to commission, I wanted to hear the opinions of others who may have been in my shoes or are willing to give advice regarding my situation.
