Handful of T-54As are on the line here with approximately 1-2 arriving each month. I’ll let a multi engine IP speak to the specifics but I believe we are a year or two away from the T-44 sundown.

The planes look sick and other than a few growing pains here and there, I hear nothing but great reviews from my IP friends who fly them.
Is the current plan to train the IPs on them and a year from now have a T-54 syllabus split in the squadrons until T-44s are gone forever? Or are studs learning them now?

Some IPs are being trained on it now. Students are likely a ways away from seeing it. Not sure on the specifics of how that syllabus transition will work.
