I’m far too old, but just out of curiosity, can a citizen “rush” an RPA squadron seeking a flying slot?

Absolutely. In fact, a young (22-26 year old) off the street candidate is highly sought after for their longevity potential as an officer.
 
Figured I'd ask. I heard lists of other boards that were last week and this week were approved and ready to be sent out.
