30 is the age limit for NFO unless you have prior service in which case it's 32(OPNAVINST 1420.1A ch4). You must be in regs body fat wise for your height or pass the neck and waist measurments. Contrairy to what some have said your age has nothing to do with passing the body fat percentage.

OK- Thanks! I just talked to my local recrutier and have an appointment to go in and take my ASTB test on Thursday... I am guessing that since there are only 10 slots left for NFO for '05 that my luck is better placed in the '06 slots where there are 70...

And eyesight. The only mims is the same minimum for commissioning.

And I would not be so sure that you stand a better chance in 06 than 05. Much better chance if you go for both.

Age limit for NFO just dropped to 29 with a 24 month waiver for prior active duty service. It is effective immediately! If you are not already pro rec then you come under the new limits. No cry babies please. If I have consistently said anything on this forum it has been not to delay your application. If the quotas don't drop out of sight, like they are now, then the program will change, like with the new age limits. If you are reading this and half interested in the Navy get off the computer and go talk to a real live recruiter.

Good luck SFgirlfriend. '05 will be tight, but if you do well on the exam and have as strong an application as your academic accomplishments then you have a shot at it.

id be interested to hear how you did, i would think your degrees over qualify you, i remember the test being pretty easy, but remember there are a lot of sections that are just about general science, general knowledge, and everybody's favorite, spatial orientation :)

one thing to consider on height requirements, certain planes have height restrictions, i don't know the exact numbers but an example might be that some shorter females are npq'd for e2's
