Haven't read through the 224 page pdf yet but this is what I'm taking away from the press conference video:
The pilots were holding control inputs in thinking they were correcting for an overspeed condition (Pitot system frozen) but failed to recognize their rate of descent and stall resulting in some sort of a spin?
