Hello everyone im Jesus Valverde and i will be submitting a STA-21 package with the Supply Corps option. Is there any pointers that i could get from some of you guys who have sat in onboards or any other advice? What i should think about?

The best advice would be to look at the other forum in Airwarriors. They have forums just for commissioning programs. I think that this forum is more focused on information about the supply community. Good luck on getting selected!

No you are referring to SWOS, that's a few blocks down ;) CHOPs aren't that anal.

Hell, don't be surprised if someone hands you a NASO PQS for a hook up.

I'm pretty into scuba diving, so I was wondering if supply officers are given the opportunity to be dive officers as well. Since the supply community is restricted line, do we not qualify for dive school?

No. I can't think of a way you would go to dive school. What would be the utility? At most I've heard of Supply Officers qualifying for FMF or SEABEE pins and PTing with DEVGRU, but never dive school.

Also Supply is a Staff Corps not restricted line, although on a sub or small boy it is hard to tell.

I've run across several Supply Officers that were sent to SCUBA school by their commands. They were all serving at EOD, NSW or Diving commands. They're definitely not in the majority, but it does happen....one of those 'right place, right time' things.

Submarine CHOPS can go do Dive School and collect dive pay because they will actually be doing diving work.

There were six of us on my sub: four enlisted and two officers.

The two CHOPS we had were never interested in attending dive school.
 
awesome...just have to hope be in the right place at the right time...or make it the right place and the right time.
