WTF is the matter with our country??? These guys deserved every bad thing that happened to them ... and much more. If they had made it to court, they probably would have been released on a plea bargain.

Really, guys ... read the link in it's entirety. The retired former USMC/Pan-Am/Delta pilot did us all a service and the two miscreants he took out deserved the instantaneous .45 ACP justice he administered.

Hmm, going into a store and commiting armed robbery using the weapon as a threat of intent to harm......and the firnds and family can't fathom why they were shot and the shooter isn't being charged? Were these folks on OJ's jury?

I also blame the press for even interviewing the friends and family and playing the article the way they did like there is merit to the other side of the argument. It was a righteous shooting IAW the law...maybe the press and the family ought to get to know it better.

I LOVE their rationale why their poor little criminal baby is the victim... Let's see - because one quit high school and was taking GED classes. And the other because he bought a car, and had a girlfriend. THAT'S THE FINEST THING THEY COULD THINK TO SAY ABOUT THESE TWO. As opposed to the shooter, an fine gentlemen indeed. Let's see: Marine Officer, Naval Aviator, HMX-1 Pilot (which means the very restricted Yankee White clearance), Pan-Am Captain, Delta Captain... The reason the family has those thoughts is genetic. The stupid genes that put those two perps in that Subway shop runs in their respective family. If they don't understand why now, maybe they will after their son's lawyer explains the law to them.

I find it difficult to sympathize with these idiots' families, mainly because I hate stupid people. Also, though, I remember a conversation I had with my dad while I was still just a youthfull lad. As most of the conversations he and I had were, this one was pretty one-sided, and it amounted to him telling me, "If I ever hear that you committed a crime of any kind, you'd better hope the police get you first, because I will beat you to within an inch of your life. And then I will disown your ass." Now if only these dipshits' parents had been half as involved as that, perhaps this whole escapade would never have happened.

The instructor who taught my basic firearms saftey class was in the same situation. He was leaving a mall in Norfolk, VA one evening when some "thug" came and pointed a weapon in his face demanding $$. He reached for his wallet, let his badge show, then promtly placed a .45 hollow point between the eyes.
