I'm going to do an "as you were" with what I said before about being notified for the NROTC Scholarship. I just talked to our OPO and he verified that they are notified right away. Sorry for the confusion.

Our NRD has 10 ISDs. I'm not sure how many the other ones get. The immediate selection criteria is to have ACT score of 29 Math and combined with English of 57. SAT is 650 Math and combined w/ English of 1290. You also have to be in the top 20% of your class, no alcohol or drug related incidents, and have involvement in extracurricular activities. You also have to talk to the CO and get his approval. I'm checking into getting the website updated to reflect the 29 score for math.

whats the difference between immediate selection and regular decision...does immediate selection mean if you have a 1290 and top 20% of class that your automatically in? Just a little confused...

Navy/Marine Corps ROTC

How many of you all that are trying to get the scholarship trying to go Navy, and how many are trying to go Marine? I ask because the Marine Corps has the Platoon Leaders Course (PLC) that allows you to get your commission without having to be in NROTC, and it applies to all colleges. I just found out that I received a 4 year scholarship to George Washington University. Anyone else hear back or apply here?

I was notified through the site online, it told me I had received the scholarship and got it to my first choice school. I also received a phone call and they said they'd be sending a package with information in the mail in a week or two. BTW anyone know how many 4 year scholarships they hand out nation wide per year?

patience all ... i didn't find out til march 6th of my senior year. i'm a 2/c mid now. although i'm a marine option so that probably makes it different since they don't have a rolling board
