Anyone Pro-Recd or Selected Lately??

Just found out I just got DENIED.

No pro-rec for me guys, regardless of my BSEE and the stars on my LORs. Guess that GPA hurt me for than I thought. I'm thinking of maybe grad school to boost my GPA. And no Godspeed, I didn't do BDCP, so what you heard was probably right. I'm thinking maybe the Marines might take me, since well (in the words of the Governator) they probably need "fresh meat for the grinder."

I actually had 2 admirals on my list, one a RADM the other a RDMR. The RDMR was a reserve doc that I knew and the other used to be the president of my fraternity... Oh well, maybe if I get one with more stars, huh?

Was that your first app? Reapp, reapp, reapp, that is what I plan to do, persistance does payoff. Hell, I know that I will get shot down on my first and probably my second app, but that the third and fourth time is what I am banking on. I know that this is my calling in life. If you would like apply for both at the same time.

Sorry to hear that casper. I agree with Roger. No one said this was going to be easy. Being persistant is what separates you from the other guys. Your stats are good, your major is tough. Improve a few things, and reapp. Keep trying man. MANY people on this board that got accepted for BDCP are people that have reapplied. The navy recognizes persistance. Keep going, and IM if I can be of any help.

Well guys I just heard that I have a tentative OCS date in june of 07. This is my second app and I applied for BDCP. My recruiter said that the program manager was out of town this week so he would sign it monday sometime and I will get to swear in friday (the earliest date open for both my recruiter and me).

Congats Matt!! Your persistance paid off. I have a feeling that if I don't get selected this time, I won't be reapplying. I am doing Aerospace Engineering as well. Currently I'm taking Calculus II, Phyics II and Computer Science 223. Stupid me, these three classes are known to be among the toughest classes in the AE roster. Lets just say that I am getting 3 c's and a B right now. I have a 3.1 cum. I have craploads of extra-curric. activities, and some killer LORs. Hoping that these pay off. If anything my GPA needs to go ^, but after this semester it might drop to a 3.0 or 2.9. I have the feeling it's now or never. Unless I reapply before I get my grades back, hehe.

Wait until you get to your 3000 level classes, these are the toughest... enjoy your easy classes while you can!
