Here are some flashcards and ELO's. The elo's were originally from navygouge.com but I had to correct and expand on some of the information so that it made more sense while studying. I personally thought the flashcards were better cause they cover all the elos anyway. That is why I stopped doing the ELO's.

My friend is going to create a gouge. He is in ground school studying for the FAA Private Pilot. His work is going to be published here at www.sharkstone.com. The sub-gouges will come out slowly. He's in it for quality not quanity!

I for one, would like to know how to "create a gouge".

sub-gouges???

Study Guide

AKA study guides that he is going to be writing in sections.
One for the engine, one for weather, etc. etc.

Help me! I'm drowning in gouge!!!

While we're on the subject, somebody told me that those practice tests off of navygouge.com have some wrong answers in the keys. Is this true? I just started API and I think I will be using those tests because they look like good practice. Just wondering if maybe I need to keep my eyes open for some wrong answers in the key.

Since you're the most recent to class up and start API, can you sorta explain your experience there so far? Do you think it's going to be as difficult as it seems to keep the NSS they want? What's the latest word from the horse's mouth, since I'm sure you're bombarded with horror stories daily? I heard something like 30 studs a month.....is it true? Just looking for a first hand account of API from someone who's there right now. Recommendations, insight, and even dirty jokes about penguins are welcome!! -hopefully the penguin jokes don't offend anyone--

Good Luck

It seems as though the navy pilots are really stepping it up. In the class that is currently in week 2, most (if not all) of their navy pilots got 94, 96, 98s on the Aero 1 test. 42.5 NSS is currently about a 90% average on the tests, and it seems as though everybody is doing just about that if not way better. Now, back to studying!

They're supposed to cut about 80 of us 04 guys by raising the NSS, I wonder what's going to happen if we all cut a 42.5.
