That is correct, but for what it's worth, in my ten years in the Navy, I haven't seen anyone fail the sit-reach. I'm sure it's happened, but I haven't seen it.I don't know if this is the same as in the fleet, but in my NROTC command failing the sit and reach doesn't constitute a failure of the physical portion of the test. I don't know if this is doctrine from the books or if it's just something that's gotten confused at our level.

???You must not have been in the right place. I've seen lots of NROTC Freshmen fail the PFA. We had one guy that failed all four categories of the PRT. :yuck_125: He ended up dropping the program.
