just found out my conditional release has expired....eeeek....I'm also in a mobilization status right now. Pushing a new request through PERS asap, fingers crossed I don't get tagged over the course of the next week.

I think it depends where your MEPS is. My recruiter literally called the lady at the Navy's desk at MEPS and I got my physical done the next day. It's a real quick process, but I didn't need waivers or anything so I guess is just depends on the person. As for the PST, you don't need that stuff for pilot, you just need to pass a PRT before you go to OCS, which is an absolute joke if you are capable of passing a SEAL PST.

those that do not hold a military ID of some sort are not required to do anything other than height and weight, it is a pain for the recruiters to do anything else with the regulations on giving the PRT to a non military ID card holder.

I'm guessing the only things left are the trip to MEPS, the final select letter and being sworn in. My recruiter did not mention which OCS class I will be going to, probably because I have to wait to pass my physical. Is it too late to go to the March 31st class?
The last time I spoke to him, my records were being sent to MEPS for review. I'm worried that there could be problems, I had minor counseling when i was 6 for Add/ADHD, which was mentioned in my package. Do you think that is an issue? I also had some surgeries in the past from sports but I fully recovered and am in top physical/mental condition. I hope I am not disqualified before the doctors at MEPS can take a look at me. I cannot wait for OCS!

The MEPS doc in most cases will want to see all documentation on any yes answers, but it really depends what was said in the counseling, and what the surgeries were for, just because a person is fully recovered doesn't mean they are qualified for service but it is a good sign.

Did you ever take the PST? I was boarded a while back when there were a lot less slots and didn't get picked up. My PST was a 8:30 swim, 9:20 Run, 80 Pushups, 100 situps, 18 pullups. My numbers could've definitely improved but so much for that. If you don't put down SPECWAR/EOD for your first choice on the ASPR, than they don't even bother with you, from what I have been told. See you in flight school dude.

Getting into SEAL or EOD isn't easy, if they need say 10 they will take 20 to interview. The guys I have had picked up for EOD and SEAL had a swim time just like you, their run times were all under 9, 100+ situps, 100+ pushups, and pullups in the 20's and all 3 had/working on graduate degrees.

Got the call today I was selected for SWO, only designator I applied for. My Recruiter advised that I should be prepared for March 31st but still is awaiting more info. My stats were 3.42 gpa and a 61 OAR on the ASTB. Good luck everyone!

Ok cool I have all documents and recent letters from my doctors regarding my status. For the counseling I do not remember what we discussed it was a long time ago but i am guessing it had something to do with the general symptoms of ADHD .

The two surgeries I had were a rhinoplasty (broken nose) and the nuss procedure (for pectus excavatum). I had pectus excavatum growing up but it was fixed when I was 15. My chest strength has improved greatly over the years, my current rep on bench press is 315 lbs if that counts for anything. I'm not sure what the Navy's standards for PE are.

I also had a broken collar bone 4 years ago.

Gotcha, I live in Chico and am not too pleased with the Sacramento office. It might be worth it to switch to Alameda

Oh , I really like my recruiter he has worked really hard for me but in the beginning when I first talked to him about going to OCS to become a pilot he wanted to wait until he saw my test scores, he said that was the most important thing. Once I proved myself he started taking me more seriously.

I've fixed them, now I fly them!

The current standard concerning the chest for the Navy, is the ability to do 50 push-ups in 2 min. and lowers as you get older. Benching 315, I'm sure you'll have no problem. But if your not sure before your next post "STOP AND GIVE US 50".

What about "other branch" military ID holders? Will we have to do a prt too? If so, does it have to be with the recruiter or can I do it with the navy unit where I'm stationed?

I was not accepted for Pilot. I did not meet the age requirement but my application was solid. Pretty bummed out. :(
Age: turned 28 this past FEb.
ASTB: 58 8/9/9

I got accepted for SWO which I don't really know If I want to do that.
I took the AFOQT and I'm applying for the AirForce as well.
Option C is Law School. If worse comes to worse I would have to choose between SWO and Law School. Idk which one is less exciting being that I really want to fly.
