I took the ASTB form one and had a brain fart today, so I have to take form two. I found that form one was just like the Marine study guide, so I was wondering if anyone who has taken form 2 would please give me some gouge on this test. Can you study for form two from the Marine study guide, or are the questions different entirely? Any help would be much appreciated.

I didn't even notice the whole thread devoted to form two that was already started. Sorry for the redundancy, but if anyone has anything to add, please feel free to guide this soul on his way.
From what I understand, form two has a lot of geometry and if you study the geometry in the Marine study guide, you will do fine. Feel free to set me straight or give up some details that you think may be of help. Thanks.

I found the mechanical to be slightly harder then the practice...but nothing to throw a fit over. the math was so close it was rediculous. Spatial was nothing like any practice test I have seen, and the aviation/Nautical was very easy if you study the practice.

You should look at the ARCO book for the spatial part. Now keep in mind, the ARCO spatial part is much different than the actual test but at least by studying it you can develop a system that will help you out. Time is a huge factor when you are talking about the spatial part so you should feel very comfortable doing it. The mechanical part of form 2 was very similar. The math part was also similar, I do remember one question about figuring out the volume of a stone by measuring the water that it displaced. I am pretty sure I got this one wrong but I don't remember what the question was exactly. Good luck everyone, if you need more help feel free to ask.
I agree with ET-Mike..Study the Arco one so that you get an idea of what is expected on the test, but dont rely on it. I found the pictures on the test to consist of no clouds in the sky and funnier plane angles.

I would do the marine study guide, it is almost the same exact test. The spatial on the arco is WAY easier, when you are under time pressure, and you have NEW angles it makes things a little more difficult. Study the aviation/nautical section, if you know that you will literally get all of them right. The math section had a couple different problems in it, (nothing major if you are good at math), and the mechanical part was cake (at least I thought), again almost question for question the same.
