ASTB One Point Waiver

No one in my company was on the so-called one point waiver, so don't can't help you. They also asked if anyone was air and their OSO used that for them to get into OCS, even though they wanted to be ground, again no one. I guess these are some of the OSO methods of getting people in that are getting fixed.

Why would all of these OSOs be offering a one-point waiver, and higher-ups approving them, if it is one of the "methods of getting people in" that is supposedly "getting fixed"?? Sounds like too much guessing and not enough facts to me...

I got 5/5/5 too, and waiting for next June to send an application for waiver.
I hope it's not just "Method" to make people sign up. (After all, it's "guaranteed" Aviation they said)
I have my trust on my recruiter.

Have a good day everyone.

And all of this is absolutely fine, a year down the road when they ask you what they asked us, you two can be the ones that hold up your hands with confidence and say, "Don't worry, my OSO has everything under control." I was telling you what I know, take it for what it's worth.

It would be nice if someone in your class was on the waiver so you could tell everyone out there what happened when they answered yes.

Anyone know someone that went to TBS on the 1-point waiver?

yes i hope someone can dispel this one point waiver myth soon. here's my deal: i got a 5/5/5 and my NROTC Marine Officer Instructor called down to HQMC to see if it was good to go. They said to send the package down asap. I don't know for sure, but it seems to me like they believe this is a legit score and will grant this so called waiver. But I would certainly not like to get down to TBS and learn otherwise. So please, if anyone can confirm that indeed there is no such thing as this one point waiver and the contract will be taken away, do so soon! Thanks.

Can't the MOI just straight-up ask HQMC if there is a one point waiver to get a solid yes or no?
