Well, I've gotten the gouge from the posts and they are very good as far as "easiness to study", but how long should prep (estimate) and when can I take my test? I've sent my college transcripts to KC Missouri, and I'm waiting on word from my processor as to what the next step is. You guys reply alot faster so I was wondering if someone could tell me what the typical process is? What is the PRT setting like? Solo,in a group or on any particular day, or is it at my convenience? That'll be it for now, but I'll be back with a couple more questons later.

Ken, I was also prior enlisted but I went through NROTC. I studied for around 2 weeks for the ASTB. Mainly I just studied the gouge off the site. I would get to know the SA part of the test very well, if you can develop a system then you will do fine. There are 30-35 questions in only 10 minutes so you will need to have a system. I don't know about the PRT and all that. When I took mine, it was with my entire command. I would talk to your CC about scheduling the ASTB I guess, I am not sure though, anyone know for sure?

I didn't study for ASTB pretty much maxed it. I bought the ARCO book and after flipping through there, if you have any engineering background it is really easy. As for the SA part... like ET said if you have a system, you are money. There are only a few that require any sort of thinking. As I recall, the ARCO book's SA was a little bit different than that of the ASTB; but not terribly.
