Allowed to chase around other T-45’s, fly to the boat, etc. As a non-jet guy I’m pretty sure that wouldn’t happen. Nobody likes being the fat kid but at least I can acknowledge it...
I don't think it'd be as fun as you think. You have to have 100 fleet traps to chase any students around the boat...your syllabus would be twice as long as even the E2 bros, and you'd be at the mercy of sucking up all the flights no one else who was otherwise qualified would want to do.

Five more years...I’m already contractually obligated to 17, no reason to quit at that point.

Plus, I’m in it to lead, the flying is just the gravy at this point. This is my chance to give back after ten years of taking.

I don’t know your particular timeline, but if you are on a similar DH contract to mine, there is verbiage that specifically says you can get out at the successful completion of DH tour. Getting out at 13.5-14 years changes the maths quite a bit compared to 17.
