Hey everyone,
I'm starting my package for the flying WO program that got announced. If anyone has any advice or can help me with this package it would be appreciated. I'm currently working on figuring out how to take my OARs an SUPer Battery test. Already working on my LORs and my interview appraisal boards. Trying to submit my package for FY27

Welcome to the forum, the “new guy/gal” posts are strongly discouraged and there’s a bit of info on the AVO program and testing info.

Do a quick ish search and similarly with additional questions and follow on, use the resources around you.

Good luck!

I would say that new guy introductory posts are absolutely encouraged, as long as they ask good, original questions and demonstrate that they've done some observational learning on the site before chiming in.

@cmays2016, welcome to AW! Search function is always a good thing, but AVO is kinda new ground, so we'll all be interested in how your process unfolds. Keep us posted!

Welcome aboard. Like @Brett327 said, the AVO/AVP Warrant program is still very new and I don’t think there’s a critical mass of experience out there to draw upon yet. Not only have very few gone through the pipeline but I would not be surprised in the least if there are continual significant changes to the selection, training, and career path as CNATRA and Bupers learn lessons from the first iterations. Your experiences would be worth sharing here on AWs; not only for other aspirants but many of us interested bystanders are curious to see how this program pans out.

Having said all that: right now it sounds like they’re doing it not all that different from other OCS applicants, just a separate selection pool. So you couldn’t go too wrong following the advice/experience in those threads.

Good luck, let us know how it works out.

Join the AVP Facebook group. This is competitive and the minimum is associates but most prior applicants have bachelors + a history of sustained performance
