Barrons ASTB Book

I have been studying this book for the ASTB... Military flight aptitude tests by barrons...

The AFOQT section seems VERY much harder and trickier than the ASTB (Math sections at least) Has anyone else noticed this? I'm studying for the ASTB, not the AFOQT, but I would assume that the math in any of the above tests would be comparable... The AFOQT ones are much trickier...

I've been studying it. I can't recall how different it is from the actual test.

My understanding is that the AFOQT is a little trickier than the ASTB. MY advice: take the practice tests other than ASTB if you have the time, then use the actual ASTB tests to cement the last bit of prep for the actual test.

Just use those math sections for practice. There's no difference. Math is math. If you can do the math sections on the AFOQT, you'll be fine on the ASTB.

Thanks, CUPike, you clarified and narrowed down my point.

The math and verbal/comprehension are, if not universal and interchangeable regarding the tests, certainly worth the practice, whereas nearly everything else on the AFOQT prep list will not likely prove worth your time except for test taint strategy and timing. If you find different, let us know!
