Don't live in apartments...get a roommate and a house...u'll enjoy your time down here more.
Yup, I'd second this. Living in an apartment you're subject to many more annoyances and idiots than you are if you are renting a home. I can't stand living in apartments anymore.
Yea definitely. I think your stock as a guy goes up significantly when a nice looking woman finds out you live in a house rather than an apartment. See, women like the older and mature type. I don't know why this is and I don't really care to be honest with you. It's just the way it is. So, if you can make it seem like you're the older and mature type by living in a house (with others of course, cause we at AW know you can't afford it by yourself), your chances of having a successful "relationship" with that nice looking woman increase dramatically.
To caveat on Steve's comment:
Make sure you have enough furniture to fill a house. Mixed pieces from goodwill do not score points with the ladies.
Apartment living isn't all bad. Some have pretty nice gyms and a pool/hot tub. Plus you can try your hand at relationships - their are plenty of "single" ladies that follow their Navy boyfriends down from the Academy.

I lived at Eaton Square Apartments, next to GG. It was a nice place ( I wish I still had my apartment from there over the house I have at Vance). Rent for a 2B/2Bath was around 810. Splitting that between another roommate wouldn't be bad, but try to get one with a view of the pool area for when you take your study breaks. Also, the women who run the front office can be real Bit@#$$, even to military when it comes time to go to your PCS base. I don't think they know how to read the military clause. I'd give it a 7 outta 10.

well, I'm a SNA, 29, engaged (she won't be joining me in Pcola), and like to live NICE (very nice, actually, or at least... as nice as BAH will get me). I'm not too concerned about nightlife with the exception of good restaurants. So... that being said.... where do you all suggest?
Now ..... if only those NICE LOOKING women existed in PCola. Kinda a moot point to play the role if there is no one to play it for .... hahah
Also, I lived in Kings Mill Apts (close to Govs Gate) and I loved em. Staff was great and the apts were very nice.
