Time warner was good for cable when I was there last year.

Sprint Wireless works at cable speeds most places.

Town has WiFi, but it is painfully slow and hard to get a good signal.

I wish I could recommend something other then Time Warner, but it's hard not to. Their customer service sucks, but they have a really good price deal with HD cable and once you deal with the savages in tech support it works fairly reliably. That said, if Fios was here and I could get satellite TV for a similar price, I'd do that in a heartbeat.

If you're in an apt.... your nearest neighbor with an unsecured wireless router.

I just got time warner yesterday. It is pretty quick. I tried looking into verzion dsl, but after them telling me I had the wrong number twice and getting transfered to PA a couple times and being on hold for more than an hour I gave up.

The cable guys was an hour late in installing the internet too, but they did credit me 20 bucks on my bill. Its 30 bucks a months for 6 months, then like 40 bucks a month after I think. The cable guy also had a modem.

The cable dude installed it for you? I just drove out, picked up my box and modem and installed it myself = free.

And I got Digital Cable w/ HD, HBO, on-demand and the middle-speed internet all for 70 bucks a month. That 40 for the internet is too much. They have some promotion on right now (or at least they did a short while ago). I'd call and bitch.

I wasn't charged for the install. I didn't get cable through time warner for reasons which I can't talk about. And if you did read my post you would see I got it for 30 bucks a month for 6 months.

We have AT&T DSL internet.. It works great and is only about $25 or 30 a month. We had Time Warner when we first moved here it was had great speed too, but was more expensive and the customer service sucked..

Fcuk! I got Time Warner for internet and digital (not HD) tv. I'm using my own modem and those savages are charging me $86.36 a month. Somebody's getting a nasty phone call. . .

Your problem is that have been a customer with them for a while now. The cable companies like to treat customers who have been with them for a while like crap but then treat the new customers like a hot girl at and ugly girl convention.

While I know next-to-nothing about ISP's in Corpus, for everyone's info - my plan is to check to see if FiOS is available at all future duty stations first, then check for everything else after it's not. It's great! The customer service isn't horrible, but it isn't great. Just make sure they bury your fiber line deeper than 3 inches...
