Ok, i know this is pretty far out there, but I was buying some clothes the other day and I was about to pick up some new White T-shirts, only problem is everybrand of white t-shirt i've had has fallen apart on me maybe after 4-5 wear/washings, I know for our uniforms sake, the collar should look GOOD, so i was wondering what brands do you guys suggest?? I love the mighty green PT Soffe shirts, those things never wrinkle it seems and the collar always stays nice!
Thanks

sorry man I have no clue what you are talking about... do you mean undershirts for khakis and whites or do you mean just plain old white collared shirts for civilian wear??

Jockey (Classic?)

Jockey is the brand you are looking for. The 3-pk costs about $12-$20 depending on where you go. Get a size smaller than you would normally where (ie I normally where large, so I got mediums). Mine have been washed multiple times and still have perfect collars. Hanes wears out in one washing, so do most others. Hope this helps.

Hanes Tagless is not bad. Let me also put a quick plug in for Old Navy. I think they are in either packs of two or three but after 4 or 5 washings, they still look like I just pulled them out of the package.

Don't know first hand how the hanes tagless wash, but for OCS they weren't good bc when you iron you have to make sure you don't touch the printed on tag, or it would smear and no longer be inspection quality. Whatever you go with, just make sure the collar "looks" thicker and sturdier.

Hanes tagless are ok for everyday wear. You'll be issued 2 packs (i think) of white T-shirts when you get there, you should devote one pack to inspection (don't wear them). I wouldn't worry about stocking up before you get there, because that's just more you'll have to carry around. You'll have plenty of opporunity to buy more white T-shirts at the NEX.

definitely...

though i love jackie chan and his tagless, i must go for jockey's, because of the neck. the neck part is quasi-elastic for jockey's, while hanes is just stiff-it tends to stretch.

Like I said, can't go wrong with the Jockeys for everyday or inspection wear. Just an aside, in regards to OCS inspections, the small or medium shirts are easier to fold 6x6 or 4x4 or whatever it is... and size 38+ underwear is just WAY to big to fold right (I folded/pressed the whities for most of my class).

Wow, didn't expect this much feedback! =) Well I actually finished up OCS and I'm awaiting commission into the Marine Corps in May, just want to look as sharp as possible! Thanks for all the help! I'm just going to buy a pack of each and see which one wins~

I switched from Hanes (tagless) to Jockey. Hanes just wasn't cutting the butter for me. Jockey will last you a lot longer, and looks 10 times better than the Hanes, in my opinion. Go with Jockey.
