Well.... considering she was commissioned 4 months before me.... does that change anything?? :D

Makes me think of the line in "A Few Good Men":

Col. Jessep: There is nothing on this earth sexier, believe me, gentlemen, than a woman you have to salute in the morning. Promote 'em all, I say, 'cause this is true: if you haven't gotten a blowjob from a superior officer, well, you're just letting the best in life pass you by.

That sounds like it must be an interesting marriage...In fact...

As far as the line from "A Few Good Men"....well... all I can say is....

:D :D :D :D :D

I think I've spent more time on a small boat (she's been on 2 cruisers and a frigate) than any other man in the Marine Corps should. I would take her dinner on the ship when she had duty, and you should have seen the looks on some of the faces of the squids the one time I showed up to the boat wearing a set of Chucks.... It was like I had desecrated their sacred ground.

3700 hours of pure, aggressive flight time around the world, and about about 2 hours of "Oh ****", "Man was that close" and "Did you see that".

Was a below average dude, doing an average job, having one hell of a above average time.

Its up to you!!

I know what your saying. I just got a air contract yesterday which is the tit's, but to be honest I have had the thoughts about 'future family life'. I'm 26 so I'm a little older and maybe that's what's making it hit home a little harder. But then again I think, how can I give up on my dream of flying for a family life I don't have yet.

Exactly.

Anyway, don't count out the family thing just because you join the service. You're joining the armed forces, not a monastery.

East Coast C-130s are on a about a 6 month out and 6 month back cycle to the Iraq right now. They still have to support MEU ops, as such with the group that just got back from 3-4 weeks in Cyprus.

West Coast is on a similar Iraqi rotation, with support Ops in other places.

The Oki Squadron is all over the WestPac as usual, but no A/C out to the desert, except Marines going to the desert for IA billets.

The reserves are nearly filling active roles right now with Ft Worth signed on for WestPac support with Oki, and New York headed to Europe quite a bit.;)
