Cleaning Combo Cover

Well I need to clean my White Combo Cover, and I wasnt sure what the best way of doing it would be. Right now I can only think of tossing it in the wash, dry cleaning, or buying a new one. Any suggestions? I appreciate the help.

you can wash it... but I've never dried mine. I always let it air dry. You can use a relative cool iron to get the wrinkles from the washing out.

Tide pen or Shout wipes for little stains.

I used a bleach pen for the stains (that dark ring that forms on the back), then threw it in the wash...it's all good.

Throw it in the washer (warm, medium agitation), then toss it in the drier (perm press). No bleach. The 01 tag you cut off actually says these washing instructions.

This is the polyester cover not the vinyl correct? I dont think the vinyl can be cleaned passed a bleach pen and some hand scrubbing.

So says my friends from the boat school. I dont have any experience with the vinyl.

I've heard Windex works pretty well on the vinyl, but I've not had any reason to use that method yet.

It figures that the one thing that has the cleaning instructions, the Navy makes you cut it off. Thanks for the help, I will go give this a shot.

1. go buy new cover - 5min
2. put new cover on frame - 5min
total a - 10min

or....

1. use one method of stain removal - 5min
2. wash -30min
3. air dry - 120 min
4. try second method of stain removal - 5min
5. wash (again) - 30min
6. air dry (again) - 120min
7. go buy a new one - 5min
8. put new cover on frame - 5min
total b - 330min

Difference between total b and total a - 320min

Other things you could do in that time
1. drink beer
2. study
3. goof off
4. work out
5. sleep
6. watch several movies
7. any combination of the above.

And this is the point where you get to put a cash value on how valuable your time is.

The vinyl ones are easy. I used Shout gel and scrubbed it all over the top, let it sit for a bit and then wash it off. Haven't cleaned the cloth one yet.

You can do all of those things while it's air drying/washing. So the time difference is negligible.
