CMC presents award to MCRC. You May Rate a NUC.

The MARADMIN applies to all Marines under that command, and the civilians are "accessories" to the unit, therefore they are listed separately.
In regards to the rationalization that it is "just a NUC for MCRC," this stuff matters when the promotions board convenes and they see your file and promotion photo.
In regards to the "tip of the spear" comment, Marine Corps Drill Instructors are a part of MCRC. Are they not the tip of the spear? Is it safe to say that without recruiters, we would not have fine Marines winning battles on the field and maintaining the very aircraft we fly or wish to one day fly?

Guess what, my last promotion photo was boots and utes and that did not disturb my selection. I am not sure where you are going with this. It is good to have but....
No they are not. Their purpose in life is to train and educate young men and women that will one day be the "tip of the spear".

so there is still hope for those who rate this and can't locate their orders....I called down to my MCRC district HQ, and as long as someone in the recruiting command you worked for can verify you where indeed there during the time period required, they can "vouch" for you and your district HQ or the RS you worked for can write you up orders backdated to when you worked....for me This ment calling an old recruiter who remembered me and him calling HQ to verify.
As for all this talk about "tip of the spear" and what not, all there is to say is this.....one team, one fight.
