When we took Enterprise out of Newport News in 94 for sea-trials, a few of us decided to "peek" by opening the doors in the Jet Shop and stepping out on the fantail.
We were admiring the very impressive wake we were pulling when they hit the brakes. The wake started rapidly gaining on the blunty-end. We got back inside and closed the door. Don't know if the fantail got a drenching, but it sure looked like it was going to!
