You mean the fact a police officer was injured during the riot/insurrection and subsequently collapsed, was taken to the hopital then died the next day? But sure, why don't you quibble over whether or not a fire extingusher killed him.

Your go to is 'never-Trumper'? Because I am angered by what happened on 6 January? Really? Pathetic. How about I am a patriot who doesn't like the fact a bunch of losers, morons, idiots and cowards violently stormed the Capitol with the express purpose of overthrowing the election and causing harm to those that oppose them.
You literally said “of course the first reports were partially accurate” yet that didn’t stop you from coming on here and acting as though they were.

And I called you a never-Trumper because you were one prior to January 6th and remain one. Which is fine. But don’t try to act like the aggrieved party here when you were the one of the guys blowing this thread up after what happened at the Capitol and championing the impeachment instead of waiting for the dust to settle.

A police officer died likely as a result of the riot, I think that fact is enough for me to be angry about a bunch of losers invading the Capitol.

What did you think this thread was about?

Weird that it was so widely reported that he was murdered with a fire extinguisher
Here's my fact-minimal prediction of cause of death, based years of experience with dudes wearing helmets taking shots to the head, and on what has been said about it (delayed death following riots).

Hemorrhragic stroke. No outside trauma, but it takes time for the damage to show itself.

If that is the finding, it will be hard to link to a single act, since you can suffer the same injury from falling backwards on your head too, and it can be cumulative over blows. Who knows how many shots to the head he took that day.

My point was that you didn’t wait for the dust to settle in order to make more rational, informed posts.

Police officers died during the BLM riots as well. Did you care as much about their deaths?

There are many things in the world that happen without precedent. Last year, this election, etc. I think what you are really asking is whether there are legal grounds for that to happen, or if there is a legal precedent to support that interpretation of existing law? I will leave that to the courts to decide. I get that you don't feel this was an attack on the federal government.....which is another thing that ultimately the courts and evidence will hopefully clarify. But this:

......is an awfully bad look for someone collecting a federally funded pension.
If he's a retired Reservist,he won't collect until around the age of 60 depending on deployments. His age was quoted at 53 and his ex wife turned him in. Great job lady.

Look on the bright side, he might save a bit of money on those dang Tricare Retired Reserve fees

Huh, sounds like sound advice. Kind of like not posting random Twitter posts with random information, but then I don't do that.

What was irrational or misinformed about my posts?

That depends, lots of USAF and Army reservists got active duty retirements in the past 20 years as their respective services (especially the Army) didn't really care if their reservists reached sanctuary, unlike the Navy.

If you take umbrage with those posts, engage in dialogue. But if you’re unwilling or unable to look at them, I’m glad you’re reverting to your true liberal self and trying to be the post police.

And if you don’t like Twitter or think it’s important, look to your Party’s members like AOC and if you can’t understand why they’re trying to censor what (conservative) people put on Twitter, then allow me to spell it out for you: it’s because they think what people post, and then read, on Twitter is important.

Both parties would have to be willing to have a dialogue though, "he who wrestles with a hog must expect to be spattered with filth, whether he is vanquished or not."

Great, still doesn't make posting random Tweets a good idea.

To circle things back to the original point of the thread, social media certainly can be a useful tool when stupid idiots tweet/stream/post their own or others illegal activites and get charged as a result.

This had been my assumption given Guard/AF, but it is a good point....quite possible he was on a more traditional reserve retirement.

You embedded a link with text that supports your argument. I use tweets to support mine. You can scoff at that, just like I can scoff at some who takes anything from Vox seriously.

You’re old, I’m not. We’re from different generations. We get our information from different sources and digest and process our news differently. Not better or worse, just different.

Never was a fan of imbedding a link into text unless it’s intended as part of a joke. I don’t need a surprise/gotcha effect to find myself looking at vox or huffington post. Just post a link after your thoughts if you care about people actually reading/clicking on it.
