With about 5% of patients needing critical care (ventilators, etc.), it reminds me of the time on det where about 15 of us played credit card roulette for bar tab and I lost. All fun and games until...

Much like how it takes about 2-3 weeks to go from infected to needing critical care, my pain didn’t really hit until my wife saw the credit card bill at the end of the month.

Watching the shit show from the front row in Sigonella has been...entertaining?

They fucked away their initial response, so Italy is trying to knee-jerk their way out of this situation.

Watching the spool-ex back home in NASWI in conjunction with the daily release of Fleet Forces, OSD, and CDC instructions has been less entertaining.

Telling my Sailor he couldn’t go home to bury his dad outright sucked.

It’s various levels of shitty, but a great chance to be an effective leader.

I’m not sure I realized how much bad news I would have to pass as a DH, but it’s a lot.

That has already made it to Whiting field.

That would have sucked pickles.?

Texted my unit yesterday to see if we're still drilling this weekend....yup, apparently the wing said everyone shall still drill.

Okay, roger that. Nonrev'd to my unit, got some food, and saw this DOD travel ban that doesn't have any guidance for the Reserves...

I know it goes into effect Monday, but still. At least it won't be hard to get a seat home!
I'm staying ready to go until I get official word, but I'm also skeptical I'm actually going to drill this month.

Squadron turnover out in 7th Fleet will be fun... 14 days after self quarantine when it actually happens.

Making Recruiting Great Again
Does anyone know how this will effect OCS classes? Right now I am supposed to start April 12th.

Wouldn’t be surprised if that is delayed too. On the flip side, should bode well for military pilot retention for a few years....?

Business as usual for now. OCS/RTC are considered "mission essential", however that might stop soon.

The intent is to maintain normal business until there are reasons why to suspend OCS/RTC. Your recruiter will be your main POC who can help. I would avoid jumping to conclusions until you have OFFICIAL WORD from your OR.
