can anyone speak to the timeline it takes to get ODS and other training school dates? I was selected for a direct commission and just waiting on the Oath of Office to be sent from Millington.
That will depend on your NOSC. Do yo have any contact with them?can anyone speak to the timeline it takes to get ODS and other training school dates? I was selected for a direct commission and just waiting on the Oath of Office to be sent from Millington.
I would be very rare for you to get picked up without those series, the ones that I had picked up who didn't have STEM degrees had started in tech majors and switched, which meant they still had that series.Hey guys, hoping someone can maybe help out. I’m going to apply for CWO soon but don’t have a stem degree or a physics series. I’m trying to think of ways to beef up the application. Would going after any cyber security certs be worth it? For instance, ITF+, A+, etc.
Any insight is appreciated. Thanks
Yeah that’s what I figured. If somebody did get picked up for CWO without those courses, would it be fairly difficult to make it through the training pipeline?I would be very rare for you to get picked up without those series, the ones that I had picked up who didn't have STEM degrees had started in tech majors and switched, which meant they still had that series.
In most cases when a PA says "preferred" you pretty much may as well read that as "required".

You could also look at designators that don't require those courses. That’s what I’ve been considering. The local community college only has classes during the day, so I’d have to balance that with work somehow.
You should be able to find a college or community college that offers classes at night. That’s what I’ve been considering. The local community college only has classes during the day, so I’d have to balance that with work somehow.
